Anti-alias
Images on a monitor are displayed as a series of square pixels therefore any curved or diagonal line will have a jagged edge. Anti-aliasing is a way of removing this âdefectâ, diagonal edges are combined with lighter colours to give the illusion of smoothness. Anti-aliasing can unfortunately make images/text appear lighter than you would expect and the slight blurring of edges can make images/text appear to be out of focus with certain colour combinations.
