A computer program that is added to existing application software that adds functionality. Plug ins for graphic programs like Adobe Photoshop provide filters and special effects for use within the host program. Internet Browser plug ins provide functions that the original browser software doesnât, things like multimedia viewers (panoramic views, movies, etc)
