TDL

Template Definition LanguageChips are specified in a Hardware Description Language, or HDL. Each chip, e.g. a full-adder, is represented in an HDL program, e.g. FullAdder.hdl. To debug the chip, the designer loads the HDL program into a hardware simulator and experiments with it, subjecting it to various tests. The tests can be ran interactively, using the simulator_s GUI, or batch-style, using a series of pre-defined tests specified in a script.Test scripts are written in a TDL. This document describes the subset of TDL commands designed for testing chips.
